Where Are Melissa, Jillian & More of Jason Mesnick’s ‘Bachelor’ Contestants Now?
Despite his Season 13 airing over 11 years ago, it is safe to say Jason Mesnick is still one of the most controversial Bachelor leads of all time.
After breaking up with his final pick and fiancée Melissa Rycroft in the After the Final Rose special after the finale, Jason “pulled a Mesnick” (as it’s now referred), by turning around and asking out his runner-up, Molly Malaney. (Interestingly enough, nearly a decade later, Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr. did the same thing, breaking up with winner Becca Kufrin for now-wife Lauren Burnham.)
Still, the Seattle-based single dad had to deal with his fair share of blowback at the time, but it’s obvious he made the right decision as he and Molly are still married today and have a child together!
The Monday, August 10 episode of The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever! takes us back down memory lane and reminds us of the incredible cast of characters on Jason’s season, from future Bachelorette and fan favorite Jillian Harris to Bachelor Pad alum Natalie Getz. Molly Mesnick
Molly may not have been Jason’s first choice, but she was certainly his last. After reuniting during the finale, Molly and Jason went on to tie the knot in February 2010. They welcomed daughter Riley in March 2013 and currently live in Seattle with Jason’s son from his previous relationship, Ty.
Melissa Rycroft
Melissa was left heartbroken after Jason broke up with her for Molly, but she rebounded well. She went on to compete on Season 8 of Dancing With the Stars, where she placed third. She then returned for Season 15 and won the All-Star season with partner Tony Dovolani. She also married husband Tye Strickland in 2009. The couple has three kids — daughter Ava and sons Beckett and Cayson. Melissa and Tye currently host a podcast called Logically Irrational.
Jillian Harris
Despite not finding forever love with Jason, Jillian did just fine after, quickly becoming the star of Bachelorette Season 5. She got engaged to Ed Swiderski, but the two split about a year later. Jillian then became a designer on Extreme Home Makeover: Home Edition before appearing on Love It Or List It Vancouver. She got engaged to boyfriend Justin Pasutto in 2016 and the pair have two kids together — a son named Leo and a daughter named Annie.
Naomi Crespo
After Naomi and Jason didn’t work out, she returned to her normal life in hometown of San Diego. Naomi is now married, judging by her social media profile activity.
Natalie Getz
Natalie didn’t last long on Jason’s season, but she was memorable. After The Bachelor, she appeared on Season 1 of Bachelor Pad and paired up (romantically and competitively) with former Bachelorette contestant David Good. The two even they ended up winning the $125,000 prize. The two split after the show and not much is known about Natalie’s current relationship status, but she is a Talent Acquisition Partner at Gucci in Beverly Hills.
